Little Spark Coffee is a unique coffee brand born out of a deep love and passion for coffee. Its founder, Jess, has been in the coffee industry for over 20 years, starting as a barista in a Caribou Coffee kiosk in 2003. Over the years, she has worked as a roaster, quality control manager, trainer, certified coffee cupper, and green coffee buyer for companies focusing on quality with approachability, such as Caribou, Allegro, and Whole Foods Market. Despite her experience in the industry, Jess began to feel jaded and skeptical about the impact she was making as a Green Coffee Buyer during the pandemic. She took a break to re-evaluate her career path and her love for coffee. During her break, she worked as a barista in a small cafe and rediscovered her passion for coffee. She realized that she wanted to create a brand that would speak to both coffee lovers and those who are new to specialty coffee.

Little Spark Coffee is a reflection of this desire to strike a balance between quality and approachability. The brand is grounded in thoughtful sourcing practices but full of color, whimsy, and fun. Coffee can be both serious and playful, and she wants to create a brand that illustrates this. The brand’s name, Little Spark, comes from a ride in Epcot called Journey Into the Imagination, and the founder’s initial inspiration colors, look, and feel are from the vintage Disneyworld/Epcot. Jess is big into immersive experiences, both in tasting experiences and physical, and wants to create a brand that offers something unique and memorable.
